60 Years of Campfires, Conch Shells, and Southernmost Hospitality™

For over 60 years, Boyd’s Key West Campground has welcomed travelers with warm smiles, ocean breezes, and a deep-rooted love for island life. What began in 1963 as a dream built on coral rock and hard work has grown into Key West’s most beloved campground—still family-run, still full of heart. Today, we carry on that legacy with every guest we greet, every sunset we share, and every moment of Southernmost Hospitality™ we deliver.

A Family Tradition That Continues

From the beginning, Boyd’s was a true family-run operation. The Hamilton children pitched in, helping with everything from greeting guests to maintaining the grounds. Over the years, the campground expanded, but its small-town charm and personal touch never changed.

As Key West grew into a world-famous destination, Boyd’s remained a cherished retreat—a place where visitors could experience the island’s beauty in a welcoming, laid-back setting. The Hamilton family continued to oversee every detail, ensuring that Boyd’s stayed true to its roots.

Today, three generations of the family are still involved, carrying on the tradition of Southernmost Hospitality™.
